A cool and challenging boss rush! I like that you have the opportunity each run to face different bosses. The coolest but also the hardest boss is the ice slope one for me. The art is great. I also like the little platforming sections before each boss, and it would be cool to see them get longer with each fight. Great work!
So happy you played - took too long to figure that out! Just watched the video as well - loved the feedback. So sad the sound bugged :( haha we tested only on Mac and some jank PC with bad parts. Sound never had those issues for us but of course it was a big learning curve and good reason to do more playtesting. We've done another jam since then and I think we've improved a bit but still definitely hit some hurdles. Hopefully by GMTK's jam at the end of this month we can get something much more polished out in time.
Really fun game, I like that you added some backstory but also didn't dump a bunch of lore on the player all at once either. The fact there was lots of variety in the type of gameplay (sometimes platformer, sometimes top down, sometimes rhythm game) was also a cool idea.
The art and music are well done, but this game would greatly benefit from two things: - Being able to pause and check what the controls are because the controls are kinda weird and hard to remember - Either make the bosses easier or at least give the player control over which boss they want to fight
Edit: I must say the rythym challenge was well made, having it switch from WASD to arrow keys is actually a cool idea.
